We are so proud of our Lower School Daisy Scouts! They collected food for the dogs and cats at the Humane Society and then gave them a check for $125.00 using money they made selling Girl Scout cookies! Way to go girls!

We are having another special day to raise money for our guide dog. We are getting there! It costs $3,500.00 to have our own dog to name. We will share the winning name when we have enough. Thank you!

Another Good Deed From Saint Stephen’s Boy Scouts!

The Boy Scouts in the Intermediate School sent everyone an email last month to find a service they could do for our school. Out of all the entries Pre K won, asking that they restore an old, chipped bookcase in their room. Mr. Fruehauf and his sons, Evan and Eran, arrived on Thursday afternoon with the most beautiful blue bookcase combined with stencils and hand-paintings of animals and nature(Below-right). It was just like new! They all received a huge thank you from Mrs. Baxendale and Mrs. Willard who were just elated when they saw it! Thank you to all the Boy Scouts in Troop 108! (Below- left-Evan, Mrs. Willard, Mark(Pre K), Mrs. Baxendale and daughter Grace, Mr. Fruehauf and Eran)

Lower School Boy Scouts at the Anchor Desk at ABC Channel 7!
Future Newscasters?

I thought you may want to include in one of the newsletters about the exciting trip our Boy Scout troop had at ABC 7. They were given a tour of the station and were able to sit behind the anchor desk and be part of the weather report and also, were invited to see a live broadcast of the show. Most kids do not get that opportunity but since our boys were so good they were able to be in the studio as the 5pm news was airing. Ms. Amy Tuten from ABC 7 was the boys’ tour guide and she was amazing. Kim Miele
